I’m tired of seeing posts like these “oh I miss the old Eminem,” “His new stuff is crap,” “Slim Shady is dead.” Sorry, but no. The thing is, Eminem is different from other rappers. He raps about his personal experiences, so yeah, of course his music is gonna change. Back in 2002, he was being discriminated, so of course this album was full of songs talking about his struggles with that. He had problems with the media and Kim, too back then. Well does he have any of those problems now? NO. His life has changed. He’s not gonna rap about any of that stuff anymore. When Recovery came out, he was finally clean. So of course he’s gonna rap about his struggle with drugs, nearly dying, and losing his best friend. With some other additional topics. So he’s not rapping just to rap. He’s rapping to get his feelings out. It’s his outlet.
That’s why I like him, he doesn’t just rap about sex sex sex sex getting down in the club sex sex sex drinking sex sex sex all throughout his career.
But you know, maybe you don’t like changes. Well bitch, Eminem is Going Through Changes and there’s nothing you can do about it. So sit your whiney ass down.
